David is a strong advocate for our civil justice system, dedicated to insuring that innocent individuals who have been wrongfully harmed receive justice.

David Couch is an Arkansas lawyer and public policy advocate. He represents elderly people abused and neglected in nursing homes in Arkansas and in more than 20 other states.  Since 1994 he has been involved in dozens of ballot initiatives, which has resulted in several successful initiated acts and constitutional amendments becoming law.

David is a native of Newport and a life-long Arkansan. He received his bachelor’s from the University of Arkansas in 1981and graduated in 1985 from the William H. Bowen School of Law. In law school Couch served as associate editor of the UALR Law Journal.  He is licensed in Arkansas and New Jersey.

David believes we have an obligation to care for and protect those who are unable to care for and protect themselves. In recognition of his efforts to protect the rights of individuals, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association has awarded him  both the President’s Award and the Civil Justice Advocacy Award.

He is a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, a member of the American Association for Justice — where he chaired the Nursing Home Litigation Group — and a member of the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center Lawyers Guild. David previously served as president of the National Trial Lawyers Association Nursing Home Specialty Group and has been recognized as one of The American Trial Lawyers Association Top 100 Trial Lawyers
